Celebrate Yoga & Music Day in Lyon: A Harmony of Spirit and Sound 🧘‍♀️🌼

Each year on 21st June, the world observes two meaningful celebrations — International Yoga Day and Fête de la Musique. One is rooted in ancient Indian wisdom; the other is a cultural phenomenon in France celebrating the universal language of music. In 2025, these two powerful traditions come together in a beautiful event hosted in the heart of Lyon — bringing together movement, mindfulness, and music in a shared spirit of well-being and community.

L’Association Frehindi, a Paris-based Indian youth & culture organization, warmly invites all residents and visitors of Lyon to join a peaceful morning of yoga and soulful music, under the patronage of the Consulate General of India in Marseille.

🌍 Why This Day Matters

Declared by the United Nations in 2015, International Yoga Day celebrates the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga — a gift from India to the world. It’s a time to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your body and mind.

On the same day, across France, streets and parks come alive with music for Fête de la Musique, a national day honoring creativity, performance, and togetherness through sound.

What better way to celebrate both than to bring them together? Yoga and Music, both ancient tools of self-expression and healing, offer a rare opportunity to align with your inner self and the world around you.

🌳 What to Expect: A Morning in the Park

This free, public event is open to everyone — whether you’re a long-time yoga practitioner or a curious newcomer, a music lover, or just someone who enjoys community spaces and calm energy.
