The inauguration of the Indian Consulate in Marseille on February 12, 2025 marked a historic milestone in Indo-French relations, offering direct consular access to the Indian diaspora in southern France. This long-awaited development paves the way for stronger educational, cultural, and economic exchanges between the two nations.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and President of France, Emmanuel Macron, who addressed and interacted with an enthusiastic gathering of Indian students, professionals, and community leaders. The event was brought to life with powerful speeches, cultural showcases, and a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony.
In support of this landmark event, L’association Frehindi proudly facilitated the participation of our Indian community by arranging dedicated transportation from Lyon, enabling them to witness this moment of national pride and international partnership. This initiative reflects our deep commitment to connecting youth with meaningful global experiences.
L’association Frehindi takes pride in being at the forefront of initiatives that bring communities together and foster global friendships. Our efforts in mobilizing attendees for the consulate’s inauguration are just one of the many ways we contribute to strengthening Indo-French ties.
We look forward to more such impactful collaborations that make a real difference in the lives of our community members.
